David Klamen
David Klamen (born 1961) is an American artist and professor of art and philosophy. His art has been widely exhibited in the United States and Europe. Klamen, whose paintings "defy the easy analysis promised by their subject matter,"〔ArtNews David Klamen – June 2007

==Background and early life==
Klamen was born in Dixon, Illinois, United States. He received his B.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1983 and his M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1985. He was represented by Marianne Deson Gallery, Chicago early in his career, joined Galleria L’Isola in Rome in 1986, and finally moved to the Richard Gray Gallery in Chicago and New York in the early 1990s.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Richard Gray Gallery - David Klamen )〕 His 20-plus years of exhibiting in Chicago’s Richard Gray Gallery has brought him international recognition; in 2014, the gallery displayed Klamen’s work at Art Basel in Hong Kong, Asia’s largest annual art festival.〔“A Respected Artist, Known the World Over, Teaching Our Students”.
